Your Instructor

Steve Humphrey – Instructor

Thank you for taking the time to consider CPR for People and Pets LLC  for the health and safety of your people and your pets.

I was an active EMT for 34 years retiring March 2010. I started my First Aid training in 1962 with the American Red Cross. I became an instructor in 1974 and then an Instructor Trainer. In the fall of 1975 I entered EMT training and was certified in December of that year. On October 2 1981 I completed an Instructor Trainer class for Medic First Aid. I currently hold the honor of being the longest continuous instructor for Medic First Aid with 39 years. I was a corporate instructor for GTE now Verizon. Following my retirement from GTE I started teaching public classes for Bay Cities Ambulance in Coos Bay. I have instructed more than 9000 students during my 46 years of teaching.

I am a certified instructor with:

  • The American Heart Association
  • Medic First Aid
  • American Safety and Health Institute
  • Pet Tech
